Self-employed individuals in MA impacted by COVID-19 are now able to file for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA). They can do so by applying at www.mass.gov/pua
PUA is a program open to the following individuals:
Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA): provides up to 39 weeks of unemployment benefits to individuals who are not working as a result of COVID-19 and are self-employed, independent contractors, gig economy workers, and others who would normally not qualify for benefits. More information is available at www.mass.gov/pua.
