ALL CPAs Intern Spotlight – Hannah Klein, Lasell College

1. Hi Hannah, can you tell us a little about yourself? Where did you grow up and attend school?

I grew up in Bristol, Rhode Island and attended Mt. Hope High School.

2. I see that you played soccer at Lasell. Was it hard juggling your classes and being a college athlete?

It wasn’t too hard juggling both soccer and school, I used to joke that I got more work done and had better grades during soccer season because I knew I had to be able to get everything done to keep my eligibility. They also had a rule that if your GPA was below a certain number you had to attend a study hall because the girls’ soccer team was known for having the highest GPA of all the other sports teams on campus.

3. As a native Rhode Islander, what are some of the gems of your state you would recommend visiting (when the weather warms up)?

In the summer for sure Bristol around the Fourth of July, Bristol celebrates the 4th for about a whole month leading up to our Fourth of July parade (which is the oldest most continuous parade in the country). It’s super cool and they have concerts every night, with tons of different local food vendors and a carnival on the town common. Another place to visit would be Newport with all the beautiful beaches and mansions!!

4. If not a CPA, what’s another career could you see yourself pursuing?

If not a CPA I would like to do something in the law enforcement field.

5. If you won $1 million dollars tomorrow, and you had to spend a portion on yourself, what would you buy?

If I won $1 million dollars I would buy a house on the Fourth of July parade route in downtown Bristol, Rhode Island. It’s the best spot to be in the summer.

6. Favorite book, movie or TV show you would recommend?

My current favorite TV show is Fixer Upper with Chip and Joanna Gaines! It’s so fun to watch them fix up the houses and I adore Joanna’s style.
